Wynonna Judd reflects on Naomi Judd’s death: ‘This can’t be the end of Judds’ story’

About a month after Wynonna Judd’s mother Naomi Judd committed suicide, the 58-year-old on Instagram Reflect on life without Naomi.

“Check in. There’s a lot going on in the world right now,” Wynonna began her caption alongside a picture of her performance. “Before I sat down to write this, I thought, ‘No…I just don’t know what to say.’ Then I heard my life coach ask me, ‘You know what? “I started crying.”

She continued, “What do I know??”

“I know the pain of losing my mom to suicide on April 30th was so great that I often felt like I would never be able to fully accept and surrender to the fact that she left her way. This can’t be the Judds story Ending,” Wynonna continued, adding a broken heart emoji.

Winona continues her statementclaiming that “in order to be a healthier grandparent to my eldest grandson, Kaliyah,” she needs to “continue to appear{first} for herself and do personal therapy work.” She then shared her plan to “break the cycle of addiction and family dysfunction.” “.

“I know it’s a simple step procedure, and those steps are sometimes not easy to take,” Wynonna said.

Her post continued: “I commit to keep doing the ‘next right thing’ and have weekly appointments so I can continue what I’m doing, even if I’m doing well.”

“I know, I feel so helpless — especially right now,” Wynonna shared. “I know, it sounds corny, ‘Love can build a bridge.’ I found myself humming songs my mom wrote for fans and listening to myself on the farm at night.”

The country music star then shared that she couldn’t “do this sad thing alone” and explained to her followers that “help is available.”

“I will continue to fight for my faith, my self, my family, and I will continue to show up and sing,” Wynonna added before thanking her fans for “all the love and support.”

Winona recently spoke about her mother’s death at a memorial service for her earlier this month.

The memorial service was hosted by Robin Roberts at the Lyman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee. Wynonna and Ashley Judd sit next to Naomi’s husband Larry Stricklandshe spoke for the first time about her death.

Wynonna shared that a public memorial would not be easy for her, but it was “something a dysfunctional family does.”

“It’s not easy. I don’t know why we’re doing this in public. It sucks,” Wynonna said on stage at Ashley and Strickland. “But we’re doing it, aren’t we? We’re showing the world what a dysfunctional family does. We show up for each other.”
