Shawnee O’Neal and Keown Henderson married!

This basketball wife The star officially tied the knot with her pastor fiancé in a tropical island ceremony on Saturday, People can exclusively confirm.

Nearly 200 guests attended the wedding in Anguilla. Aurora Anguilla Resort and Golf Club. A romantic outdoor ceremony took place on the 10th hole of the golf course, with brides entering and singer Yolanda Adams performing. The bride’s three sons led her down the aisle to meet her now husband.

“I just lost my dad in February,” O’Neal told PEOPLE. “So, I was really wondering how to go down the aisle. Lost a lot of my dad in the process of planning this wedding, so my sons handed it over to me.”

Having her five children (along with ex-Shaquille O’Neal) there to support her is “everything” for the happy mum, who describes her family as a “package deal” when it comes to relationships.

Henderson wore a cream evening gown by Dolce and Gabbana, while the groomsmen wore Atelier Houston.

Bishop TD Jakes officiated the wedding, which was planned and photographed by The Happy Couple and The Britto Agency/Global Brand Strategist Manolo Dorrest with videographer Michael Tamzil. The couple exchanged wedding rings from Jason in Beverly Hills.

The location was an easy choice for the newlyweds, who “immediately fell in love with it” on a past trip.

“I think after the first visit, we knew this was where we wanted to get married,” O’Neal, 47, told PEOPLE. For Henderson, 41, Anguilla’s rich history and hospitable residents make them “proud to connect” to the island and “start their journey” there.

At the reception, friends and family of the couple dine on Anguilla-inspired dishes, including local fish and crayfish, all served by black orchid.

In the evenings, guests danced to music from the Isley Brothers and Jukebox in custom tents at the resort’s clubhouse and D Richards restaurant, before Spinderella took over DJ duties late into the night for the party.

Thoughtful details were incorporated throughout the ceremony and reception, including a toast to Eleven/11 (a meaningful symbol for the newlyweds) with McBride Sisters Brut Prosecco.

While extravagant, and certainly bigger than they originally expected – Shaunie told PEOPLE that their initial guest count was just 50 – the night was special and intimate. “We want our guests to have a great weekend,” O’Neal said. “We just love having fun and loving each other, and we want to do that with our friends and family.”

The couple dated for two years before announcing their engagement last November. For O’Neal and Henderson, the connection was undeniable from their first date, a six-hour date in a hotel lobby.

“I was in California preparing for a mission. … She finally agreed to see me,” Henderson told PEOPLE. Earlier that night, O’Neal went out to dinner with a friend and told her future husband that she would go out with him “if she had time after dinner”.

So for the next six hours, they were connected through family and faith. “But then I took her to her car and gave her a side hug and then I got her in the car and drove away,” the groom said.

“He didn’t even try to kiss me!” his bride chimed in.

Henderson said she gave him “complete confusion” for a few weeks after he groped for the first kiss. He made up for it at the perfect time, though: “I showed her the kiss I would give her the day I met her,” Henderson told PEOPLE Saturday about their first kiss as a couple.

Henderson was integrated into her family long before ‘I would’, his bride said. “He just walked into our lives and filled a void, and in the space I was with, he was there for a minute because I had no one,” she said. “They loved him, which made me love him even more.”

This feeling is mutual for the groom. “She’s amazing. She’s just the most laid-back, funniest, funniest person. She’s a woman of faith,” Henderson gushed. “She can cook, she can dress, and She can sing! “

As for what’s next for Henderson, “We want to create a legacy together,” O’Neal said. The next chapter is about “growing, evolving and becoming,” she said.
