“Nani from Lilo and Stitch. As a child, I thought she was grumpy and too harsh. As an adult, it was clear to me that she was a young woman in a very tough situation and, if anything, she handled things very well. “

“Especially because she’s now in a position where she has to act like a mother, in a dynamic where she was more equal before. She’s a child herself, and it’s understandably difficult for the two sisters to make this transition. You Don’t wake up suddenly one day (especially at a young age like Lilo) and immediately start seeing your older siblings as parents.”

“Father from Elf Just trying to keep his job and put food on the table while a mad man who claims to be his grown son from the North Pole uproots his life and that of his family. Walter Hobbes was no saint, but, come on. Most people feel restless and frustrated. “

“King Triton from little mermaid. Gosh, Ariel is so naive to me now. She didn’t know the guy other than his looks and she decided she loved him and was willing to give up everything and everyone to join him on land. Except, what if Eric doesn’t love her? She hadn’t thought of it at all. The contract she signed would have resulted in her being under Ursula’s control, if that ever materialized. “

“You need both. I think they represent both sides of a healthy personality. It’s important to have fun, have fun, and find joy in each day, but you also need to be responsible and sane. Too much Bert and “Your life is frustrating and boring. Too much Ernie and you’ll end up broke and alone. ”

“Uncle Phil from Fresh Prince Bel Air. For a kid, he’s a rough bastard who always ruins Will’s day. As an adult, I saw him as a caring parent trying to help Will grow into a successful person. “

“The moments between him and Will, where he treats him like his own son, makes you realize that he really just wants to help Will finally live a happy life.”

“Emily and Miranda from fashion devil. Eleven year old I thought they were too rude to Andy, but now I totally get it! If someone goes to a job interview and later is as disrespectful as Andy for their job (too lazy to know about the industry or even dress for it), I’d probably despise her too, at least until she proves herself. In Andy After really starting to work hard, they started to respect her. “

“Josh from drake and josh! I don’t despise him, but he’s just…boring to me, I guess. Now I totally understand that he wants to be a smart, responsible young man and can’t stand Drake’s constant stupidity and Meghan’s horrible shenanigans. “

“Boromir. I remember when Fellowship of the Ring After coming out, I ended up telling my mom at the theater that I was glad Boromir was dead. He is a bad guy. Only now, as an adult, have I realized how much the Lord of the Rings can pull and control you, and how he knows Mordor’s armies are attacking, and the Ring can be used to stop that. He’s also fighting for his younger brother and his (damn) father. It doesn’t exactly forgive him, but the situation is far more nuanced than I understood when I was younger. “

“Boromir is one of my favorite characters in literature. Aragon is ideal. He represents the perfection of virtue. Boromir is us. Flawed, contradictory and selfish. We all want to be Aragorn, but most of the time, we’re all Boromirs. “

“Stupid come in goofy movies. I think it’s pretty mean that he’s forcing Max to go on vacation instead of letting him do what he wants and have fun his way. But as an adult, especially now with my own kids, I totally understand. He just wanted to spend the last moments of intimacy with his son before he left. Max needs to stop being a whiny brat and just do it for his dad and realize what it means to Goofy because he loves him and knows how much he will miss Max. “
