Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 1

While a sequel to Tom Cruise is currently in theaters and earning rave reviews Following rave reviews from fans and critics alike, another trailer was released this week.

Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One is the seventh installment in the critically acclaimed hit spy series, and while plot details have been kept under wraps, there’s no doubt that IMF agent Ethan Hunt (Cruise) will be on a very difficult mission.

While little information is available on the sequel’s plot, the trailer above does show some returning faces from the series – including actor Henry Czerny, who last appeared on the first M:I flick in 1996.

When the film hits theaters in July 2023, it also gives audiences a glimpse of what’s sure to be jaw-dropping action scenes.

Another globetrotting action thriller, The Greys, revolves around a skilled CIA mercenary (Ryan Gosling) who accidentally uncovers the secrets of the dark agency.

As such, he finds himself a target and is being hunted around the world by a psychotic ex-colleague (Chris Evans) and an international assassin.

Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo (Avengers: Endgame) and co-starring Ana de Armas (No Time to Die) and Regé-Jean Page (Bridgeton), The Greys hits Netflix on July 22 .

Thor: Love and Thunder

Marvel also released a new trailer for Thor: Love and Thunder this week, the fourth installment in the Thor franchise.

The sequel will see Chris Hemsworth’s protagonist team up with his ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman, whose character now has her own superpower) to stop the slaughter god Gore (Christian Bale), a killer trying to destroy all gods.

It looks like it will have more of the wackiness and humor that makes Thor: Ragnarok such a great MCU entry, Thor: Love and Thunder, which hits theaters on July 8.

This survival thriller stars Idris Elba as a newly widowed husband who returns to South Africa with his two teenage daughters, where he meets his wife for the first time .

However, while visiting a game reserve run by an old friend and fellow wildlife biologist (Sharlto Copley of District 9), they found themselves being followed by a ferocious hunter lion.

According to the trailer, this should be a pretty tight watch when it hits Irish cinemas on August 26.

Andorra

Turning to TV, we got a trailer for the next Star Wars show this week, which will be released after its recent premiere Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Andor will serve as a prequel to the 2016 film Rogue One, focusing on the role of Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) five years before the events of the film.

Starring Fiona Shaw and Stellan Skarsgård in 12 episodes, the first two will premiere on Disney+ on August 31st.

Speaking of Disney+, we have another trailer this week willowits new series is based on the 80s film of the same name and serves as a sequel.

Finally, we have Man vs. Bee, a 9-episode Netflix slapstick series starring Mr. Bean’s Rowan Atkinson as a man tortured by bees.
