The 55-year-old said he viewed the trip as a “publicity stunt” and implored her to “stop the vicious PR attack” and support her estranged father Thomas Markle, who was released from hospital just weeks after a previous stroke .

Speaking to Dan Wootton on GB News tonight, Thomas told GB News his father was disappointed as he planned to travel to England for the Queen’s Jubilee celebrations, which the 77-year-old was unable to do after recovering from a stroke.

Earlier this week, it was reported that Meghan, 40, is “trying to heal the four-year rift” between her estranged father, but she worries about her half-siblings Thomas Jr. and Samantha participation because she “believes they have their own agenda”.

When talking to Dan Wootton, her brother Thomas Jr criticized her mercilessly, saying she made no attempt to contact his or her father.

When Wootton asked if reports of Meghan’s contact with her father were true, he said: “She didn’t try to contact at all. He still had the same phone number he always had.

After suffering a stroke last week, Thomas Markle said he felt “very grateful” and “lucky” to be alive.

He said: “I want to thank everyone, especially the wonderful doctors and nurses who saved my life. They are angels.

“I am deeply touched by the messages of love I have received from all over the world. People have been so kind. I can’t speak right now, but I am working hard and will thank people appropriately when possible.

Mr Markle had planned to fly to the UK this week to celebrate next weekend’s Platinum Jubilee, but a stroke on Monday night restricted his speech, interrupting the trip.

Using a felt-tip pen, he wrote on a whiteboard: “I want to come and pay my respects to the Queen. I wish her a Happy Jubilee and many more years to come.

The severe stroke was caused by a blood clot on the right side of Mr Markle’s brain.

He was rushed to a hospital near his home in Rosarito, Mexico, before being transferred to the U.S. border by an ambulance that was waiting to take him to a hospital in San Diego, California.

He was in intensive care all week and made what one doctor told him was “remarkable progress”.
