Meghan Markle news – Piers Morgan RAGES at ‘selfish’ Prince Harry & Meg as they ‘will HIJACK Queen’s Jubilee’

PIERS Morgan has taken a swipe at Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, claiming they will “hijack” the Queen’s Jubilee celebrations.

Speaking on his TalkTV show last week, former GMB host Piers blasted: “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, the southern English county that I come from, incidentally, where they’ve spent precisely three hours, are a pair of undignified, whiney, hypocritical virtue-signalling, selfish wastrels.

“The privacy demanding, poverty preaching carbon-conscious couple will fly 5,000 miles, spilling 1.5 metric tones of CO2 emissions, accompanied of course by the Netflix documentary camera crew recording their Kardashian-style, reality show.

“The emissions of most concern to me, however, are the other noxious toxic fumes they will inevitably emit from the moment they land here and make the jubilee all about themselves.

“And I’m already shuddering at how this fame-hungry duo will hijack the headlines from the woman [The Queen] who should be given them purely to cement their rival royal brand.”

“They weren’t at Windsor Castle when Harry and Meghan came to see the Queen last and they don’t have security clearance this time.

“Don’t expect them to turn up. But if they need footage for any documentary then there will be a lot around.”

  • Ed Sheeran to dedicate song to Queen and Philip’s lifelong love

Ed Sheeran is to perform his love song Perfect at the Jubilee Pageant in a special moving tribute to the Queen and her late husband, the Duke of Edinburgh.

At the finale of the carnival procession through the streets of London on Sunday, ahead of the National Anthem, the star will sing the hit romantic ballad as footage featuring images of the Queen and Philip fills the giant screens around the stage.

Philip – the man the Queen described as her “strength and stay” – was married to the monarch for 73 years and devoted decades of his life to royal duty.

He died at the age of 99 in April last year during the pandemic, leaving the Queen grieving for her lifelong confidant.

Other tributes to Philip will appear in the pageant, with a Bollywood-inspired interpretation of the Queen and the duke’s wedding day.

A 20ft (6m) wedding cake, housing a sound system playing classic Bollywood anthems and accompanied by 250 Bollywood dancers, will process down The Mall in a reimagining of their 1947 marriage celebration.

The 96-year-old monarch is said to want to pace herself during her milestone celebrations, with her daughter the Princess Royal representing her at the

racecourse instead, The Sunday Times reported.

The Derby on Saturday June 4 was to be a personal highlight for the Queen during the four days of Jubilee festivities. Hopes had been high the Queen would have a runner in the Derby, but her classy colt Reach For The Moon was not ready in time after a setback.

He is, however, expected to have a leading chance at Royal Ascot.

The head of state, a passionate horse owner and breeder, was due to be greeted on the course with a special guard of honour including up to 40 of her past and

But the newspaper revealed the monarch is now “increasingly unlikely” to head to Epsom.

Buckingham Palace declined to comment, saying the Queen’s attendance at events would not be confirmed until closer to the time.

Mr Townsend, senior specialist partner at Pagefield communication, stated: “I think it’s possible.

“They are coming with their children who are still very young.

“Who knows what arrangements Meghan and Harry may have made, but in the past Meghan’s mother has been involved, so I wouldn’t be at all surprised.”

Express.co.uk reports that Mr Sean stated on his YouTube channel: “Trevor’s story itself is remarkable because he’s never spoken on the record about his time with Meghan Markle.

“When you think about it, you read the stories, if you believe them, the way that she just wanted to collect the food mixer, or the blender, posted back his ring, that sort of stuff, there’s two sides to every story and of course, we only know her version of events”.

A source told the Mirror: “The brothers needed time for everything to settle down. The family, including William, had been disappointed in the way Harry and Meghan chose to leave the Royal Family.

“But now there is a strong feeling that what happened is in the past and that they have moved on.

“William sees that Meghan is a good mother and loyal wife and he is genuinely pleased for his brother.

“It seems that the two of them have healed the rift and are very much back on their old buddy terms.

“Meghan’s distance from Kate has also helped heal the friction between the two men.”

“Is it an olive branch? Yes, I think everybody would have been mortified if they had stayed in California.”
