but ITV The star has also faced heartbreak in the past between the breakdown of her marriage to ex-husband Les Denis and the stillbirth of son Theo.

Here’s everything you need to know about Amanda’s journey from heartache to happiness.

Marrying Les Dennis

Amanda married “Family Fortune” host Les Dennis in 1995, but in 2000 she had an affair with actor Neil Morrissey.

She met Neal while filming the comedy “Happy Birthday Shakespeare,” and they soon had an affair.

Amanda wrote in her autobiography: “I knew in my heart that my marriage was in jeopardy, but the guilt was unbearable and I hated myself for deceiving myself so much.

“I know Rice has been unfaithful to his wife (and lover) in the past and Neil has been unfaithful to Rachel, but I’ve never done that before.

“I can’t sleep at night, feeling how wrong this is and wanting to stop it. I hate myself so much.”

The relationship lasted six weeks. Amanda and Rice later tried to save their marriage, but eventually divorced in 2003.

Neil, who voiced the iconic children’s cartoon character Bob the Builder, spoke about it on Piers Morgan’s Life Stories in 2014.

He said: “I’m sorry for the way this situation was handled and I’m sorry for Les being emotional. It was very difficult for him and I’m very sorry for that.”

Rice met Claire Nicholson in 2005, and they married in 2009 with two children, Eleanor and Thomas.

Meanwhile, Neal is now in a relationship with lawyer Emma Killick.

In love with Chris Hughes

Amanda met record producer Chris Hughes in Los Angeles in 2003. They started dating a year later.

Chris, also known as Merrick, was a member of the music group Adam and Ant, who produced Tears of Fear on the Big Chair and co-wrote the hit “Everybody Wants to Rule the World.”

The couple married in December 2008 at St Margaret’s Church in Somerset.

Daughter Lexie was born in 2006 and they welcomed their second daughter Hollie in 2012.

Amanda has previously said her husband is a “normal person” who takes care of her and can deal with the fact that she is a strong and stubborn woman.

family heartbreak

Amanda and Chris are happily married but have had to deal with devastating news in the past.

Amanda tragically miscarried in 2010, and tragically gave birth to her stillborn son Theo the following year when she was seven months pregnant.

The BGT star said the tragedies helped strengthen her relationship with Chris, calling him “my absolute rock.”

“Theo will always be part of our family. He’ll be a year older than Holly,” she tells you in 2021.

“I often look at kids who are a year older than her and think, ‘Oh yeah, Theo will do this today’. It’s not something to get over, but I’ve gotten it.”
